There are many reasons to repaint your home, office, or commercial building: the color of your paint looks faded, the paint is cracked and peeling or you want to change the color. Covenant Painting's exterior painting work is outstanding. We use an eight step process to ensure your complete satisfaction.
The eight steps to a properly exterior painting job are as follows: |
-
We pressure wash to remove efflorescence, chalky paint and to remove dirt and grime.
-
Then scrap, sand and caulk all surfaces with elastomeric custom patch all surfaces where needed. Loss paint is removed and all bare wood is spot primed.
-
Next we mask and cover all surfaces not to be primed and painted.
-
Then, all bushes, plants and cement areas are covered.
-
Exterior flex primer is then applied to all surfaces to be painted. We use flexible crack-resistant primer formulated to provide excellent flexibility and resistance to efflorescence and alkali. Flex-prime is designed to bridge hairline cracks in masonry surfaces, resulting in a seal that is highly flexible and allows for movement in the substrate.
-
The first coat of paint applied by spraying. Spraying is an exceptionally effective method as it guarantees even paint coverage.
-
A second coat of paint is applied to all painted surfaces. This ensures a higher degree of color retention.
-
Inspection is the final step. Each job is inspected to make sure all areas are covered to the customers satisfaction. If any touch ups are necessary, they are completed at this time.
